Mode of Action

Solatenol® is a third generation SDHI fungicide that inhibits fungal spore germination and works by stopping fungal germ tube penetration into the leaf. It assimilates into the plants via translaminar movement, strongly binding to the plant’s cuticular wax, and slowly penetrating into the tissue. Solatenol® also exhibits upward movement within grass plants, giving protection from snow mould from the inside out throughout the winter season.

Fludioxonil is a protectant, contact fungicide which in effect, inhibits fungal spore germination and stops mycelial growth. It is the same active ingredient contained in Medallion® fungicide.

Propiconazole is a sterol biosynthesis inhibitor. It has preventive activity and early curative activity, and is primarily active on mycelium with some anti-sporulant activity.

Azoxystrobin uses the plant’s xylem, the main artery for moving water and minerals to leaves and pods, to move itself up and out to all new growing tissue, giving leaves and stems consistent, wall-to-wall coverage.
